The Chicago Sports Network (CHSN) is excited to announce a new over-the-air (OTA) partnership with Millennial Telecommunications' WJYS TV, making Chicago Blackhawks, Bulls, and White Sox games, along with all CHSN programming, available to viewers throughout the Chicagoland area.
Beginning October 1, fans can tune in to Channel 62.2 and Channel 62.3, which will both transition to HD and deliver uninterrupted CHSN content. The availability of two digital channels will allow for simultaneous broadcasts when multiple teams are playing.
“Our focus is always on our fans,” said Jason Coyle, President of Chicago Sports Network. “We are dedicated to providing our content on the platforms that our viewers use. This new OTA arrangement will allow those who prefer over-the-air TV to stay connected with their favorite teams and personalities.”
For the approximately 600,000 households in the Chicago Designated Market Area (DMA) without pay-TV, a suitable over-the-air antenna will be required to access these channels. Our website offers guidance on selecting, installing, and scanning for these channels. Current over-the-air antenna users will need to rescan for channels once CHSN launches. Detailed information on purchasing and installing digital antennas can be found at CHSN.com.
CHSN will feature a schedule that includes regular season games, select pre-season games, and playoff coverage, complemented by in-depth pre- and postgame shows, expert commentary, and around-the-clock sports programming. Broadcasts will be produced from state-of-the-art, fan-centric studios located at Chicago’s United Center and Guaranteed Rate Field.
The network will officially launch on October 1 with Blackhawks and Bulls preseason games. The first White Sox game on CHSN is scheduled for March 2025. Until then, White Sox games through September 29, 2024, will continue to air on NBC Sports Chicago.
CHSN, a joint venture of the three teams and Standard Media, will offer expanded coverage across the Midwest, including Illinois, and parts of Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, and Wisconsin, pending league approvals.
