Biography of Donald John Trump

Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is an American politician, media personality, and businessman who served as the 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021.

Trump earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1968. In 1971, he became president of the family real estate business, which he renamed the Trump Organization, focusing on developing skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. After facing a series of business setbacks in the late 1990s, he shifted to licensing the Trump name through various ventures. From 2004 to 2015, he gained fame as the co-producer and host of the reality television series *The Apprentice*. Over the years, Trump and his businesses have been involved in over 4,000 legal cases, including six business bankruptcies.

In the 2016 presidential election, Trump won the Republican nomination and defeated Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, despite losing the popular vote. The Mueller investigation later revealed that Russia interfered in the election to support Trump. His political positions were characterized as populist, protectionist, and nationalist, leading to widespread protests. Notably, Trump was the first U.S. president without prior military or government experience. Throughout his campaign and presidency, he promoted various conspiracy theories and made numerous false or misleading statements, marking a significant departure from traditional political discourse. Many of his remarks have been criticized as racially charged, racist, and misogynistic.
