"Sheikh Hasina is in a secluded house in Delhi, no chance to go out"
The plane carrying Hasina landed at Delhi's Hindon Air Base on August 5. After that, Indian forces took over his security.
International award-winning investigative journalist Salim Samad claimed in a report written by Indian media outlet 'Northeast News' that Sheikh Hasina is in a safe house at an air base near Delhi. He is unable to communicate with anyone from there.
In his report, Salim Samad, citing an unidentified source, could not confirm whether Sheikh Hasina was under house arrest when she visited the Hindon Air Base on August 5.
However, the source confirmed the chief adviser. Hasina was taken to a safe house after Yunus spoke to Modi on the phone for the first time after taking oath. A few hours after the Modi-Younus conversation, Hasina's communication devices went down. Since then he has not been able to communicate with anyone.
The source also said that Hasina is not allowed to go out of that house. He does not even get a chance to go to a super shop inside the base for the soldiers. But you can walk to the super shop from his house.
He also wrote that Sheikh Hasina's daughter Saima Wazed is staying in Delhi as the Regional Director of the World Health Organization. But he didn't get a chance to meet his mother till now. Although Sheikh Hasina has been in Delhi for a month.
When Sheikh Hasina fled to India, her son Sajib Wazed Joy said that he would go to Delhi to meet his mother. But Jai was barred from coming to Delhi. Because he can't come and visit.
He said Sheikh Rehana's daughter Tulip Siddique is a member of the UK Legislative Assembly and serving as a junior minister. He appears to have made no request to the UK government to help his aunt Hasina and mother Rehana. However, it is not clear whether Tulip has sought any assistance from the British High Commission in New Delhi.
The investigative journalist mentioned in this report, the chief adviser. Yunus has hinted to ask Sheikh Hasina back. And if Bangladesh wants Hasina back, it will be a big blow for the Indian Prime Minister.
He wrote, if India does not return Hasina despite Bangladesh's request, how they will overcome the tarnished image, it is not possible to say now.
